Player is fairly loose.

I don't mind checking here, for pot control. The board is fairly dry so you don't desperately need to bet to protect your hand. If your opponent has a jack, you're much more likely to get a value bet out of him if you check and then bet the river (because it will look like you c-bet the flop).

Also if you happen to be beat, you'll save money by checking.

If I did check, I'd definitely call any reasonable river bet, and I would bet if checked to on the river also.

What if you were sure he had a J? And you read on him says he'd have raised the flop with more.
What to do2
Depends what jack. If I was sure he had A-J or K-J I would bet again, about 2/3rds of the pot. But if it was a worse jack you might be more likely to get a call if you wait until the river.

I'm gonna look this one up cos I'm curious now.
