I better explain the game first:

Anaconda
You get dealt 7 cards
Round of betting
You then pass two to your left
Round of betting
Discard two leaving yourself with 5 cards
Round of betting
You turn one card over
Round of betting
Repeat until you have 4 up and 1 down.
Oh its PL.
Got it?

So after the first few bets there is around £2 in the pot and we start showing. After 2 cards are showing

I have 22
Scott M has 6K
Scott C has 88

Scott M bets £2 we both call.

Next:
I have 229
Scott M has 6KK
Scott C has 88Q

Scott M bets £6 again we both call. Pot is now £24.

Next:
I have 2299
Scott M has 6KK6
Scott C has 88QQ

Scott M bets around £24.
Scott C thinks for a while and begrudgingly folds.

What should I do?

Slight edit David.  I showed an 8, Q, 8, Q in order.

Don't know if that makes a difference but anyway...

Also I would like to know why anyone would call or fold.[/quote]

Much better game than I imagined, more psychological than anything else as the hand range is so narrow.

What do you have, last card / stack / left to bet ?!

Also seems like a game designed for people to deliberately pass good cards if they are in a dealers choice game and sitting together but I'm sure noone was at that !

David's last card was a nine, I was all in and he had me covered so his decision is call or fold.

Yeah I wouldn't go playing this at the casino.

The assymetric info aspect of this game intrigued me - specifically, everyone has seen some cards that may be in another player's hand, or have been discarded. The cards you pass may give the player on your left some info about the likely hand you kept, too.

In an earlier hand, Henning had passed Marcus an A and a Q. When I then tried to pretend that my QQAAx hand was a boat, heads up against Henning's flush, funnily enough it didn't work....

edit: not that it would have worked anyway

Yeah I should have mentioned my last card was a 9.

I made my mind up quite quickly that if Scott C was going to fold his obvious Qs full I was calling or that if he calls I couldn't.

So as Scott folded I insta call, Scott says nice call and folds. Did you have 6s full?

The reason I did this was the way he had shown his cards. I couldn't understand why he would show strength so quickly by showing 6KK6, if he had shown 66KK I then think its a far tougher call.
